However the expansion in the range of Exchange Traded Commodities, or ETCs as they are commonly called in the Australian Market, is set to change this. Traditionally people have accessed commodities indirectly though buying shares in resource focussed companies; however investors can gain direct exposure to commodities by investing through an ETC.
